Ronojoy Ghosh departs Creative Director role at AKQA Sydney to go freelance

Award-winning creative director Ronojoy Ghosh has departed AKQA Sydney to go freelance.
His exit follows the agency’s recent appointment of Tara McKenty, formerly BMF’s Chief Innovation Officer and Co-ECD, as Executive Creative Director.
Ghosh first joined whiteGREY eight years ago, which later rebranded to AKQA as part of a global merger last year. During his time there, he worked on award-winning campaigns including Volvo Car Australia’s ‘Living Seawall’, MPAN’s ‘Invisible Friends’, and The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s ‘Hello in Elephant’.
With a 25-year career spanning India, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia, Ghosh has been recognised at Cannes Lions, The One Show, and CLIOs. His agency experience includes roles at M&C Saatchi, Clemenger BBDO Wellington, and Saatchi & Saatchi across multiple markets.
Beyond advertising, Ghosh is also a children’s book author and illustrator, best known for Ollie and the Wind and his collaboration with Mem Fox on the best-selling I’m Australian Too.
