Indie creative and tech agency Tonic The Agency celebrates 15 years with refreshed brand identity

Independent creative and tech agency Tonic The Agency (Tonic) has launched a refreshed brand identity to mark 15 years of blending creative and technological expertise to solve complex business challenges for some of Australia’s most reputable businesses.

Along with a new look and updated website, Tonic is cementing the agency’s focus on delivering smarter, more agile commercial solutions for clients that include LG, Delonghi, Lenovo, O’brien, and Sonic Healthcare.

John Epta, Tonic’s Co-Founder and Managing Director says of the rebrand: “For 15 years, we’ve been solving business challenges with a quiet confidence, often under the radar. Refreshing our look and solidifying our vision isn’t about reinventing ourselves; it’s about ensuring businesses recognise us for what we’ve always been – an agency that delivers intelligent, client-first solutions with commercial flexibility at its core.”

Since being established in 2009, Tonic has consistently delivered practical, results-driven solutions. Ranging from large-scale above the line campaigns for LG, software solutions for Sonic Healthcare that allow doctors to view confidential patient records seamlessly, reputation management tools for government through to branding and website development for high-growth tech start-ups. .

One of the ways Tonic is providing solutions for clients is by reducing costs through the practical application of AI tools.  By integrating AI tools into their processes, the agency streamlines project timelines and minimises resource hours, ultimately passing those savings back to clients.

Tonic’s General Manager, Simon Payten, adds: “Businesses are under more pressure than ever to achieve more with less. Our approach has always been about delivering impactful solutions that generate tangible results – whether through innovative creative campaigns that drive sales, software solutions that drive operational efficiencies or App builds that drive consumer engagement.”

Tonic has a proven track record of success, forging long-term partnerships with leading brands. They’ve been the trusted creative partner for LG Australia (8 years), Sonic Healthcare (13 years), and the Sydney Festival (over 14 years), consistently delivering innovative work that achieves business goals. This success has continued with two new client wins in the last six months.

Gemma Lemieux, Marketing Director, LG Electronics ANZ commented: “We’ve been partners with Tonic for over 8 years now, and we’ve always been impressed with how they combine creative thinking with a really practical, tech-savvy approach. They’re proactive and really understand our business, which means they consistently deliver work that makes a real difference. In a fast-paced market like ours, that’s invaluable.”

The driving force behind Tonic’s impactful work is its unique team of cross-functional experts, whose diverse skill-set allows for the consistent delivery of business solutions across disciplines ranging from concept and campaign development, to branding through to UX and UI design.

Epta concludes: The majority of our team have worked at Tonic for five or more years, while our average client tenure is eight years. Both of these are more than double the industry average and it’s a credit to the way we operate as a business.

“As we take the agency into its next phase our focus remains steadfast: providing innovative solutions that drive real results for our clients. We’re just planning on being a bit more public about it now.”
