Menulog launches promotion to help support OzHarvest’s fundraiser ‘Unite to Feed Australia’
Tomorrow, the nation will come together for a special broadcast of the Unite to Feed Australia telethon, airing on December 3, 2024. This inspiring event, celebrating OzHarvest’s 20th anniversary, is dedicated to raising vital funds to provide meals for Australians facing food insecurity.
This year, OzHarvest celebrates its 20th anniversary and recently launched a major fundraiser to provide an additional 5 million meals for Australians facing food insecurity.
As part of the milestone celebrations, OzHarvest hosted the ‘Unite to Feed Australia’ concert on November 7, 2024, a spectacular event aimed at raising much-needed funds. To bring even more attention to the cause, the concert will be packaged into a nationwide telethon airing on December 3, 2024.
To further boost fundraising efforts, Menulog is running a special promotion on the night of the telethon. On December 3, Menulog customers can enjoy free delivery on Guzman y Gomez (GYG) orders for one night only. Simply stay home to watch the telethon and for every GYG order placed, Menulog will donate an additional meal to OzHarvest. This campaign offers customers an effortless way to support a worthy cause while enjoying authentic Mexican food from GYG.
In the lead-up to the concert, Menulog launched a customer competition offering the chance to win tickets to the ‘Unite to Feed Australia’ event. For every entry, Menulog donated 50 cents – which equates to one meal for those in need. With 14,527 entries received, Menulog has raised nearly $8,000 so far.
“At Menulog, we’re not just about delivering food, we’re about delivering impact,” said Menulog’s Marketing Director, Simon Cheng. “This is a cause we’re deeply passionate about and we encourage our customers to join us in making a difference; every meal, every donation and every action counts.”
Menulog has supported Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, OzHarvest, since 2021 via various initiatives and continues to demonstrate its commitment to making a positive impact across the nation.
OzHarvest founder Ronni Kahn AO says there are now two million households in Australia facing severe food insecurity.
“This is more than a concert, it’s a call to action and every dollar raised will enable us to deliver two meals to someone in need. The concert aims to raise awareness and crucial funds to provide more meals for Australians struggling to make ends meet. There’s never been a more important time to support the cause,” she said.
