Tiny Disco and Robotface join forces to create new era of branded content
Melbourne-based creative agency Tiny Disco and motion control specialists Robotface have partnered up to create a new form of premium content for brands in an Australian first. The new offering was formed after both businesses saw a need for social-first motion content that was polished, could be produced regularly, and would fit into smaller production budgets for clients.
Says Chelsea Morley, co-founder and creative director, Tiny Disco: “Brands were coming to us tired with the same old content that was shot on iPhone. It felt like they had no control, an inconsistent brand image, and the product didn’t always look fantastic.”
The solution was to combine services: Tiny Disco’s signature aesthetic and art direction with Robotface’s robotic arm and Phantom 4K cinema camera to create beautiful film content that’s social media ready.
Says Stephanie David, co-founder, Robotface: “On the one end you have phone content, and on the other, you have these big budget TVCs. This offering lands us right in the middle. Where you get a bunch of social-ready films every month that really set your brand apart.”
Robotface’s robotics allow the Tiny Disco art directors to explore the depths of creativity like never before. With frame rates of up to 2000 frames per second, the team can make any product look phenomenal in crisp slow motion. From cocktails to blushes, all products come to life under the lens of the Phantom camera. It’s this impeccable quality that has captured the interest of brands. This partnership created T2’s new brand film and prompted a trial from Australian luxury brand, Oroton; brands that are keen to keep their social media content just as refined as their campaigns.
Adds David: “This is no churn and burn content. It’s a partnership where we see human creativity and robotic power combine for unique product films that can keep up with the demand of social media – that also takes out the financial guesswork for clients. We are beyond excited to be servicing clients in a whole new way.”
The new Tiny Disco x Robotface Premium Content Packages start with a minimum 6-month retainer with 10x social films created every month of up to 15” each. The service also includes topline concepts, an art director on set, minimalist set and propping, and post-production. All national and international clients are welcome.
Adds Morley: “It doesn’t matter if you’re in Sydney or LA, you just send us the product every month, and we will do the rest.”
While both businesses believe there will always be a place for phone content, this new offering unlocks another stream that can help brands retain their image and keep up with the pace of content production.
