Leading tourism marketing and PR agency GTI is wrapping up 2024 on a high note and gearing up for a strong start to 2025, with new business wins and team expansions enhancing its growing portfolio.
Welcoming back LATAM Airlines to its portfolio, GTI is also celebrating the re-signing of Santa Monica Travel and Tourism and Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC).
LATAM Airlines, South America’s largest airline network, has appointed GTI after a competitive pitch process, returning GTI as its PR agency. GTI had previously represented LATAM Airlines prior to 2021.
Leveraging a slew of recent announcements, including the highly anticipated relaunch of its direct Sydney to Santiago route as well as the upcoming increased frequency of direct flights out of Melbourne, GTI will be working closely with the airline to provide PR and consumer marketing services, driving awareness about LATAM and inspiring Aussies to explore the colourful landscapes of South America.
Meanwhile, Santa Monica Travel and Tourism and Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC), both of which joined GTI’s roster in 2023, have also renewed their commitment to work with GTI across Australia and New Zealand. With fresh contracts in place, GTI will deliver comprehensive sales, marketing and PR services for Santa Monica and PR for Nashville, to elevate each destination’s charm and experiences, helping Aussies and Kiwis connect with the essence of these celebrated U.S. cities.
GTI is also thrilled to welcome new talent to its PR team as it prepares for an impactful year ahead. Thalia Aconley-Jones steps into the role of Group Account Director to lead the PR team, returning from agency History Will Be Kind, bringing her expertise and passion for tourism PR back to GTI. Additionally, Analisse Mammone joins as Senior Account Manager, bringing valuable experience and a keen eye for luxury branding from her previous role at LVMH Luxury Group.
GTI Founder and Managing Director, Sarah Anderson, said the agency’s growth and new client partnerships represent an exciting chapter for the team: “2024 has been an incredibly successful year for much of the tourism industry.
“We are seeing air capacity return to pre-pandemic levels and Australians have more choice than ever before when it comes to holiday destinations, so our clients are turning to us to ensure they build awareness and preference in the Australian and New Zealand markets, and deliver campaigns that drive bookings.
“It’s been an exciting year with airlines launching new flight routes for a number of our destinations including Vanuatu, Texas, South America and Palau and off the back of these we’ve launched consumer campaigns across outdoor, radio, broadcast, digital, print and earned channels – we’re proud to have delivered results that drive real economic and social benefit to our clients’ destinations and businesses.
“We are excited for the year ahead and with these key hires joining our PR team, we have bolstered our luxury and activation expertise so expect to see some great work in 2025.”
Following on from the company’s B Corp certification, GTI has this week launched a new website which provide tips on sustainable purchasing and B Corp certification as well as showcasing its client success stories and agency capabilities.
