Aussie fashion label JUNI partners with Shopify for billboard campaign in LA and the Gold Coast

New Australian fashion label JUNI, founded by Gold Coast entrepreneur and creator Ellie Watson, has launched its brand on a global scale thanks to a billboard collaboration with leading commerce platform, Shopify.

JUNI billboards have now popped up in L.A. and in Watson’s hometown on the Gold Coast as part of a campaign showcasing local talent who are utilising the Shopify platform to sell globally.

JUNI, along with its childrenswear line JUNI Junior, recently launched its debut SS24 collection, Fleur. Watson has been overwhelmed by the initial response – with many pieces in the collection selling out instantly – and is excited to be rolling out the Shopify campaign on home soil and abroad.

Says Watson: “The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. A month ago we launched JUNI – after nearly two years in the making – and now, seeing our brand and vision come to life on billboards in L.A. is just surreal. We’re beyond proud to partner with Shopify on this campaign.”

“We’re excited to partner with Ellie as she takes JUNI global, inspiring entrepreneurs to seize the power of global expansion,” says Shaun Broughton, managing director (APAC) at Shopify. “JUNI’s journey from Australia to Los Angeles and beyond highlights how Shopify’s cross-border tools empower businesses to overcome international challenges and accelerate growth.”

JUNI creates ‘playful and wearable styles for you and your junior’; its womenswear collection launched with a feminine and airy mix of ready-to-wear dresses, sets, blouses, skirts, tees, pants and accessories. Its childrenswear line, JUNI Junior, captures spring and summer through the lens of little ones with joyful prints, daisies, and polka dots adorning overalls, dresses, pants, blouses, tees, rompers and accessories.

“For JUNI’s debut collection for SS24, we wanted to really lean into all things spring; with flower graphics and floral prints, floaty airy dresses, and dainty and feminine details. We love how our campaign imagery contrasts with the bold billboard design,” says Watson.

Since 2017, Watson has been deeply involved in the e-commerce landscape as the founder of The Wholesome Store, a conscious online concept store for everyday goods. Her initial foray into fashion began with the launch of four women’s t-shirt designs that were featured on the store from its inception. Over time – and thanks to an early appreciation for Arts and Textiles in school and a continued creative love for food styling, recipe creation and photography – Watson’s passion to ideate new ranges and expand the fashion side of the business has continued to grow.

Adds Watson: “What started as a few simple designs on our concept store, has over the years snowballed into us creating seasonal collections for women and little ones alongside a full-time design team. It was time that the designs formed their own standalone brand, and that’s how JUNI and JUNI
Junior came to be.”

JUNI’s SS24 collection, Fleur, has launched in AU sizes 6-18 for women and up to six years for children. It is now available locally and internationally via www.wearjuni.com and through independent stockists across Australia, New Zealand, United States and Asia.
