Content agency Heads & Tales retains Zoos Victoria following a competitive pitch
Heads & Tales, leading content agency within the Hardie Grant Media network, has announced it has successfully retained the Zoos Victoria account for a third consecutive term, following a competitive pitch process.
This achievement reaffirms Heads & Tales’ long-standing partnership with one of Australia’s most cherished conservation organisations and sets the stage for continued collaboration on both print and digital platforms.
The renewed contract underscores the strength and stability of the enduring partnership. Heads & Tales will continue to manage the creation and production of Zoos Victoria’s popular publications, including Zoo News, Zooper Kids, Zoos Victoria Magazine, and the annual Impact Report. These publications are a cornerstone of Zoos Victoria’s member engagement strategy, offering content that connects families and supporters with conservation stories, updates on zoo activities, and impactful wildlife education.
Heads & Tales’ strategic approach for Zoos Victoria is deeply informed by data and audience research.
Jack Winter, Senior Strategist at Heads & Tales, highlighted the importance of understanding member preferences: “Through our research and member surveys, we discovered an audience love for print and how the Zoos magazine brings families offline, together. These publications are not only a source of information but also an experience that unites families around Zoos Victoria’s values.”
Jack further shared that this research also revealed an appetite for Zoos Victoria content across a broader range of formats and channels, as members seek more immersive and interactive experiences with the brand. “We also saw a desire for audiences craving new content from Zoos Victoria in a range of formats and channels, showing a hunger for further immersion due to their love of the brand. We’re excited to partner with Zoos Victoria as we continue to evolve their offering for their members and donors alike,” he added.
Since 2018, Heads & Tales has supported Zoos Victoria in communicating its mission of conservation, sustainability, and education. From publishing the engaging Zooper Kids to the impactful Impact Report, the agency has become an integral part of Zoos Victoria’s storytelling journey.
Reflecting on the partnership’s significance, Rod Mooseek, managing director of Heads & Tales, says: “For the past five years, we’ve had the privilege of working with a partner in Zoos Victoria and communicating their vital conservation work through various publications. From showcasing stories of rescued and rehabilitated wildlife to highlighting conservation wins and member involvement, we’ve worked to bring Zoos Victoria’s mission to life for members and the public alike.”
Mooseek continued, “We’re thrilled about the opportunity to continue this long-standing partnership. This contract renewal is more than just a business win; it’s a testament to the shared commitment we have with Zoos Victoria in promoting and supporting conservation through high-quality content.”
