VANDAL wins 2024 Good Design Award for ‘Natural Rhythms of Australia’

VANDAL has been awarded a 2024 Good Design Award in the Architectural & Installation category for its groundbreaking motion art exhibition, Natural Rhythms of Australia.

The project, commissioned by Lendlease for Darling Quarter, Sydney, merges generative AI and large-scale digital art to showcase the ecological cycles of Australia across a 9×4 meter LED screen.

The exhibition immerses viewers in the subtle beauty of seasonal change, highlighting plant and flower growth, changes in animal behaviour, and weather events, all in real time over a full year.

As one of Australia’s top honours for design and innovation, the Good Design Awards celebrate projects that push creative boundaries and deliver real impact. Natural Rhythms of Australia was recognised for its bold fusion of technology and art, transforming a bustling urban location into a dynamic celebration of nature.
