Cyndall McInerney departs The Monkeys for senior copywriter role at Today the Brave

Cyndall McInerney has joined Today the Brave as senior copywriter, partnering with award-winning art director Kate Idle. Joining from The Monkeys, Part of Accenture Song, McInerney’s quirky tone has earned her a range of international awards from her time working in both Sydney and London.

Having worked at both large networks and small independent agencies, McInerney will bring her comprehensive experience across big, international brand work to Today the Brave. Her work ranges from highly comedic to fantastical, with a passion for puppetry and animation.

Says McInerney: “It’s so exciting to join an independent agency with such huge momentum behind it. Jade and Vince aren’t just incredible creatives, they’re also just good people. I’m really looking forward to helping Today The Brave continue to grow and break things.”

Says Vince Osmond, creative partner, Today the Brave: “Cyndall’s appointment is an absolute coup for Today the Brave. It won’t take long for her blend of quirkiness and strategic thinking to show up in the work – and we can’t wait.”

Throughout her career, McInerney has worked with some of Australia’s and the globe’s biggest clients including Ikea, Adidas, Telstra, P&O Cruises, ahm Health Insurance, Ovarian Cancer Action, McVitie’s and Mini Cheddars. She’s also taken home a collection of some of the industry’s most illustrious awards; including Effies, Spikes and AWARD AWARDs.

Says Jade Manning, creative partner, Today the Brave: “She’s an absolute gem—there’s incredible depth and fire to her thinking, paired with empathy and kindness that’s rare to find. I can’t wait to see the magic she’s about to create.”

This appointment comes amid a continued period of growth for the full service independent agency, with a slew of new business wins joining the agency’s portfolio including Westmead Fertility Centre, Carnival Cruise Line, News Corp, HOYTS, the University of Sydney, TRUE NORTH and MECCA.

While still working closely with foundational clients including News Corp and the University of Sydney, new business growth has seen the agency expand at pace, with the agency more than tripling its headcount in the last 12 months and introducing fully integrated capabilities including media and PR.
