Shannon Michaelas joins The Editors’ roster
After years of being a part of The Editors team, Shannon Michaelas is the latest talent to be added to the distinguished roster.
Michaelas’ journey with The Editors has been defined by his unwavering passion for storytelling and a relentless pursuit of creative excellence. From his early days within The Editors family, Michaelas’ talent and drive has led to collaborations with directors such as Glendyn Ivin and Tom Campbell and most recently with Gary Freedman for the latest Toyota Olympics campaign.
Michaelas’ diverse portfolio spans commercial ventures and captivating narrative works, earning acclaim at prestigious events, with the most recent announcement of Analog Medium, directed by Tom Campbell, premiering in this years MIFF 2024 Programme, shortly followed by the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Also recognised for his exceptional talent, his work, ‘Jia’ was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2024 AACTA Awards, and his short film ‘Nest’ garnered acclaim at renowned festivals worldwide.
His recent debut feature Sunflower directed by Gabriel Carrubba about a seventeen-year-old boy who struggles to understand and embrace his sexuality as he comes of age in the working class suburbs on Melbourne’s edge is now screening at a cinema near you.
