CommBank heroes home lenders in latest campaign via M&C Saatchi, Sydney
CommBank has launched its latest advertising campaign via M&C Saatchi Sydney, that reminds Australians that with CommBank they can get tailored home loan support, and so much more.
The new campaign, which spans across TV, OOH (out of home), radio, social, digital display, and print, including CommBank’s Brighter magazine, highlights the different support pathways provided by the bank when it comes to home buying and how the bank can help customers – regardless of their home buying needs – achieve their property ownership goals.
The campaign seeks to address some of the common customer demands – including the desire for tailored tools and support – by highlighting the bank’s network of home lenders and the assistance they can provide, and its raft of digital tools, like Home Hub. Home Hub, located in the CommBank app, provides home buyers with all of the tools and support they need to make informed property decisions.
Says Jo Boundy, chief marketing officer at CommBank: “Whether customers are seeking a digital home lending experience or desire face-to-face support and service, CommBank is here to assist.”
Speaking about the new campaign, Boundy said the bank had wanted to shine the spotlight on some of its market strengths, including its amazing network of home lenders: “At CommBank, customers can not only access a suite of competitive and flexible home lending solutions, but they can also enjoy personalised support every step of the way and it’s been wonderful to shine a light on this support through our new advertising campaign.
“Through our campaign, we’ve been able to truly hero some of our amazing real-life home lenders and the wonderful support they provide to our customers every single day.”
The 15 and 30-second TVCs showcase the customer home lending experience from three different perspectives, including sibling investors, a small business owner, and a family grappling with the age-old dilemma of buying or selling first. The campaign also highlights CommBank’s digital tools, including Home Hub, and the personalised support that customers can take advantage of. The authentic visuals are complemented by the Cat Empire’s iconic anthem “Hello”.

Just sighed all the way through it. No credits. No idea. As predictable as possible while ticking Every Single Box On The Brief.
They made great work once.
Agency?
What’s happened to the Commbank work?
It’s changed for the worst.
‘We made a 30 second TV ad. Bye.’
Show some ‘everyday’ situations, some approachable staff and some yellow stuff. And wait for you suckers to come rolling in…
Whoever is doing this work seems to want to get fired.
M&C has lost it
Looks like the bank is creating their own work.
Terrible performance and casting…
Oh dear.
Another bbq-based script with none other than the Cat Empire soundtrack.
Awful work by any measure and inexcusably so.
Strategically it’s a depressingly well worn path.
Creatively it has no idea.
there has been some really average work coming out of M&C for some time now.
Really just bog standard bank work.
This brand deserves better.
I disagree.
Because if the bank were creating their own work it be much better than this.
Just what we need, more insufferable dopey husbands with BBQs, because if tv is anything to go by that is 90% of our population
It took THREE copywriters to come up with THIS?
Call me old fashioned, but wouldn’t it be preferable to come up with an idea that was so original and compelling that the viewer would remember the brand-as opposed to stuffing the film with stupid yellow stuff.
Just lazy.
How dare you assume their gender.
