Vodafone promotes network speed and reliability in new #FindGary campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi
Vodafone has unveiled a new brand campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi Australia that celebrates the notion that when you need to move fast, do it with Vodafone.
Over the last three years Vodafone has revolutionised its mobile network, more than tripling its 5G coverage – which means customers enjoy a faster, bigger and more reliable network than ever before.
The campaign launches across TV, BVOD, online video (OLV), brand OOH, influencer and social media.
The lead film opens with a distraught woman who turns to her Instagram community in search of her missing, Insta-famous guinea pig, Gary. Witnessing the collective effort of her online and offline connections, viewers see the speed and reliability of the Vodafone network in action as Gary is reunited with his owner.
Different members of Gary’s community are also introduced via a series of shorter retail spots, which also feature Vodafone’s competitive offers and deals.
Says Sam Chappell, creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi Australia: “Everyone loves guinea pigs, so who better to star in our new campaign than one called Gary? We’re all incredibly proud of #FindGary and how it showcases Vodafone’s fast moving, dynamic network in a fun and memorable way. And just to be extremely clear, no guinea pigs were harmed in the making of this ad.”
Says Danielle Colbert, head of marketing at Vodafone: “We worked with Saatchi & Saatchi and Finch to develop a campaign that shows the speed and reliability of the Vodafone network. We’re proud to launch #FindGary and to celebrate the genius and generosity of community which, through the power of the Vodafone network, shows how we can come together and help each other in moments of need.”

Cool ad! Nice one Voda & partners
Vodafone is not so great as they think and advertise, in the city, i had only 2,3 bars at most in my apartment, 10 km away, my mom had no signal at the bus station, support made her made calls from where she had no signal ( really liked to have a chat with them and explain this stupid solution), after 1 month, support couldnt find a better solution so i had to cancel the subscription.
Time to twist
Well well well… How the turn tables
Even after seeing this on TV and now on CB, I haven’t got a clue what it’s advertising. What’s the message? What must ‘ordinary’ people make of this?
Now that’s pretty good for Vodafone.
I like it. Made me feel good. Wont win awards. But did the job. Good work.
Lots of people doing lots of thing online for a common cause – find Gary.
Hope that helps
Nice. Hopefully that helps the poor kid. Sadly, I suspect they may accuse you of a micro-aggression for highlighting their less than ordinary deduction, cognition and analysis skills.
Soooo the little girl decided to return the guinea pig she stole because…. internet speed,…ok.
What a joke. Near Sydney CBD the Vodafone mobile internet has been literally unusable for the past two weeks. I called them and was told they were doing maintenance. Ok I’m fine with that, however, their maintenance was supposed to have completed by last Friday and it’s still unusable today – two bars at best. No mention of maintenance today. They’re about to lose a customer if things don’t improve in the next day. Very annoyed!
Find Gary, hey I would like to find a signal and some data…
Vodafone has the best customer service and prices in Australia…they literally crap on Telstra and especially Optus!
