The Work 2023 Contenders: AIRBAG
Campaign Brief recognises and showcases the great work that is being produced in the region with The Work 2023 Contenders…
Honest Eggs: FitChix
Creative Agency: VMLY&R Australia
Production Company: AIRBAG
FitChix – ergonomic, chicken- friendly fitness trackers that don’t impose on day-to-day life and behaviour. Multiple prototypes were engineered and calibrated to properly capture the activity levels of individual chickens – including step counts, which are printed onto the eggs that Australians buy at the supermarket.
Porsche: Taycan Arcade
Creative Agency: DDB
Production Company: AIRBAG
Taycan Arcade puts a futuristic twist on the neon-soaked arcade classic. Two geofenced Taycans go back and forth in a game of arcade tennis, pushing the electric vehicles and their performance drivers to the limit as they rally a 150km/hr AI-controlled drone between them.
BWS: Summer …. whatever that means
Creative Agency: M&C Saatchi
Production Company: AIRBAG
Absurd things stick in your mind. Which is especially important when you want people to remember mundane messages. From Beauticians Waxing Sailors, Barbequing Wrestler Singing and Bros Wrapping Stuff, each character has its own simple message that’s designed to lodge itself deep in your hippocampus.
Xero: Better Business
Production Company: AIRBAG
Director Christopher Hill takes the ease of using Xero into this visual metaphor wonderland for Xero’s ‘Better Business’ platform, with VFX by AIRBAG’s team of artists.
Bonds: Total Package
Creative Agency: Special
Production Company: AIRBAG
The campaign launches Bonds’ newest game-changing innovation in men’s undies, Bonds Total Package. The campaign is based on the insight that Aussie blokes put their balls through a lot. Using tongue-in-cheek innuendo, woven through monologues about their specific expertise, the 5 industry experts talk about the innovation in their pants in a humorous and relatable way.
Seek: Napoleon Dynamite Puts His Sweet Skills To Work
Creative Agency: Adhesive
Production Company: AIRBAG
Heder, who is best known for his leading role in the 2004 comedy film Napoleon Dynamite, shows how Australians can uncover and understand their skills using SEEK Career Advice in order to step up and stand out at work – just like Napoleon did for Pedro.
St John’s: Know First Aid
Creative Agency: Town Square
Production Company: AIRBAG
The campaign is built around the insight that 45% of all deaths of those aged under 44 in Australia are due to accidents, yet less than 1 in 8 Australians know first aid, one of the lowest rates in the world. An estimated 59% of deaths from injuries could be prevented by first aid being administered before emergency services arrive. From this, the simple but powerful ‘Know First Aid’ platform was created. It focuses on the first moments after something awful happens because when something happens, having first aid training is the difference between knowing what to do next, or not.
FWD: Time To Press Play
Creative Agency: TBWA Singapore
Production Company: AIRBAG
The “press play” campaign is inspired by the stories of six, real-life heroes and features real moments and experiences as they navigate common themes that are impacting the day-to-day lives of people across Asia. The people featured each took moments of pause to reflect on their lives and understand their personal objectives and dreams, in order to press play on reconnecting with loved ones, following their passions, taking risks and changing careers.
Officeworks: Create-A-Thon
Creative Agency: Alt/Shift
Production Company: AIRBAG
A suburban Melbourne Officeworks has been transformed into an all-hours creative studio for the inaugural overnight Officeworks Create-a-thon, seeing four teams of creatives battle it out for the chance to win $25,000. Like a scene out of a retro kids’ movie, the contestants were let loose in the Chadstone store during the early hours of March 17, with the task of creating something unique in less than six hours.
