Leo Burnett Australia scores Entertainment Grande Lotus at ADFEST 2023; Rumble Studios named Production Company of the Year
Over the weekend ADFEST announced the winners of its 2023 competition. The awards were presented at PEACH, Royal Cliff Hotels Group in Pattaya, Thailand.
Australia scored a total of 1 Grande, 1 Gold, 14 Silver and seven Bronze Awards led by Leo Burnett Australia. Leo Burnett Australia took home the Entertainment Grande Lotus for Bundaberg Rum ‘Bundy Mixer’. The campaign also scored a Silver in the Brand Experience Lotus category and a Bronze in the PR Lotus category. Leo Burnett Australia also picked up a Silver in the PR Lotus category for Suncorp ‘Resilience Road’.
TBWA Sydney secured a Gold in the Digital & Social Lotus category for Consent Labs ‘Classify Consent’. The campaign also picked up a Silver in the PR Lotus category plus one of four Innova Lotus Awards, presented to world-class concepts that have made a dramatic impact on the marketplace i.e. unique, “landmark” ideas, technologies, designs, applications or creative properties that have pushed the marketing industry into unchartered territory. TBWA Sydney also snagged a second Silver for ‘R Plates’ in the PR Lotus category.
Dentsu Creative ANZ scored two Silver awards in the Film Lotus category for TVNZ ‘Wrong Ride’.
FINCH had an impressive haul in the Film Craft category with two Silver and three Bronze – two Silver and one Bronze for UNHCR ‘The Reluctant Shanty’ via BMF; a Bronze for Destination NSW ‘Feel New’ via Leo Burnett Australia and a Bronze for NEDS ‘The Neds Level’ via The Monkeys, Sydney.
Rumble Studios scored two Silver in Film Craft for NRMA ‘Dual’ via Bear Meets Eagle On Fire.
R/GA Australia scored a Silver in the Design Lotus category for Museum of Chinese in Australia.
Host/Havas won Silver for Australian Federal Police ‘Crime Interrupted’ in the Radio & Audio Lotus category.
Wunderman Thompson Perth picked up a Silver for West Australian Ballet ‘Side By Side.’ in the Radio & Audio Lotus.
Companies scoring one Bronze apiece include Heckler in Film Craft for Vodafone ‘Vodafone – The Smart Network’ via DDB Group Aotearoa; Smith & Western Sound in Film Craft for Coopers Beer ‘Coopers Roll On’ via TABOO and Squeak E. Clean Studios for Australian Navy ‘The Audio Ad You Can See’ via VMLY&R ANZ.
Network of the Year for ADFEST 2023 was picked up by DENTSU. The group of 7 offices that entered the ADFEST Lotus Awards included Dentsu Inc., Tokyo; Dentsu Creative, Sydney; Dentsu Creative Taiwan, Taipei; Dentsu East Japan Inc., Tokyo; Dentsu Inc., Osaka; Dentsu Creative, North, Haryana and Dentsu, Auckland.
