I commend Bundaberg for supporting gender equality, but not sure Bundy Mixer deserves to win awards for an idea similar to what WSL and Jeep created 3 years ago.

A mixed gender fantasy league has been a great initiative for WSL, one they needed to do after that hilarious photo of the male and female winners with different prize winnings on their novelty cheques.
I think the point of Mixer is that you can choose from male or female athletes based on their stats for your entire fantasy team. The WSL only allows you to pick males surfers from different tiers and then female surfers from different tiers separately. You can’t for example fill your top tier male surfer spot with a top tier female. So the only similarity is that both male and female athletes are part of the WSL fantasy league, it’s not directly comparing the performance of male and female athletes.
