Wunderman Thompson chief growth officer Lee Leggett joins CHEP Network as CEO
Clemenger Group has announced Lee Leggett as the new chief executive officer of CHEP Network, commencing in April.
Leggett joins CHEP Network from Wunderman Thompson, where she commenced as chief executive officer for AUNZ in 2020 and more recently assumed the role of chief growth officer for the Asia-Pacific region.
Her career started in London at some of the UK’s leading creative and digital agencies including Digitas, Tribal DDB and Dare, which under her leadership was awarded Campaign’s Digital Agency of the Decade.
Says Les Timar, CEO, Clemenger Group: “We are delighted to welcome Lee to CHEP Network – a proven CEO and industry leader who understands the powerful intersection between business and creativity, and the importance of our discipline in helping solve business problems.
“She is also equally focused on creating a purpose-driven culture where people can be the best version of themselves, do great work for clients and are supported by the people around them.
“Lee will lead CHEP Network’s strong national executive team to grow and evolve the agency’s unparalleled suite of capabilities, seamlessly combining creative, media, data and technology.”
Says Leggett: “CHEP Network has earned a global reputation over recent years for being one step ahead in working with clients to ensure they are able to thrive in an environment of constant change.
“I have long admired the work and their team. So, the chance to join the agency, to work alongside so many people I respect and be part of the next chapter was hard to pass up.”
Passionate about the industry and talent, Leggett remains a member of Women in Advertising and Communications, Leadership (WACL), has served on the executive overseeing the Future Leaders Fund and also served on the IPA Council.
Most recently, she was appointed as a senior advisor to the United Nations Development Programme for her significant work on behalf of The Lion’s Share Fund, a global wildlife conservation initiative.
She will also join the board of Clemenger Group Limited, the parent company of CHEP Network. Other recent appointments to the board include Dani Bassil (chief executive officer, Clemenger BBDO Australia) and Angela Watson (managing director, Colenso BBDO).
