Deloitte Digital’s Dan Wright named ADFEST Digital & Social, Digital Craft and Mobile Lotus jury president; R/GA’s Claire Waring named juror

This year, ADFEST Lotus Awards will return to Pattaya, Thailand to conduct its first live judging in four years, which takes place just before ADFEST 2023 held during Thursday 23 – Saturday 25 March. Digital & Social Lotus, Digital Craft Lotus and Mobile will be led by Dan Wright, Chief Creative Officer, Deloitte Digital, Sydney & New Zealand. Claire Waring, executive creative director, R/GA Australia will also represent Australia on the jury.

Wright has spent the past twenty-something years working combine creativity and technology and leading some of the world’s most creative companies. He has launched social media apps for dogs, sci-fi podcasts, shape-shifting houses and skateable pinball machines, written hard-cover books, released a Christmas album, designed smart rugby balls, created technology to help protect indigenous languages, and launched an empathetic software start-up for animal shelters – all of it to help some of the world’s best-known brands become more valuable to real people.

The ADFEST 2023 juries will be responsible for reviewing and rewarding exceptional work produced across Asia Pacific and the Middle East in the last year. This year’s juries feature a cross-section of most innovative and brightest minds from the region. Each jury panel will judge some of the most ground-breaking work and the juries were chosen with the aim to ensure diversity across markets, backgrounds, and gender.

Juror, Claire Waring, Executive Creative Director, R/GA Australia, said: “Awards set the benchmark for creativity. Every year they inspire, inform and ignite new fresh thinking throughout the industry. Judging awards, being able to take time out to debate and discuss amazing work with peers, is such a privilege. For me, it’s not the ability to hand out metal, but the opportunity to really dig into the anatomy of an idea, to understand the cultural context and dive into what makes a piece of work truly great. I relish the opportunity to do that again in person at ADFEST, in a room full of APAC talent with diverse experiences and perspectives.”
