OTR serves up a tasty jingle for Moe’s Hotdogs in newly launched campaign via Showpony Adelaide
A super tasty hotdog for 3 bucks – that’s a no brainer. So, OTR convenience and petrol retailer collaborated with Showpony Adelaide to create a no brainer campaign, spreading the word about Moe’s Hotdogs at OTR.
Says Sally Huefner, senior marketer, OTR: “We needed the world to know the Moes $3 hotdog offers OTR guests a great value, quality hotdog with the convenience of 24/7 availability. Working with Showpony, we developed a campaign that was fun, memorable, and deliciously weird for our young adult audience who we know are always hungry for something different. It also needed plenty of appetite appeal.”
Showpony Adelaide creative director, Rory Kennett Lister describes the process: “We started with a simple, unforgettable line, ‘Go a Moe’s.’ The line became a jingle – a jingle so catchy and repetitive it would squeeze itself into the ears of all who heard it, like a juicy, glistening sausage in a soft fresh bun. Nothing complicated – just two everyday guys singing ‘Go a Moe’s’ over and over, and over again.
“Then came a storyline so entertaining, there was nothing to do but enjoy it, our hero characters singing along while wolfing down dogs at a bunch of locations, all within easy reach of a Moe’s – the city, the beach, a golf course, then walking backwards (why not) into an OTR to reload.”
With these ingredients Showpony rolled out a mouthwatering campaign across broadcast and catch-up TV, radio, social out-of-home, and in-store.
Paired with the exceptional quality of the Moe’s product, high availability and insane price point, “Go a Moes’ took OTR’s humble hotdog from a low awareness and low-consideration meal choice, to an epic lunch option with a tune so catchy you’ll be singing all the way into your local OTR.

IT’S FUNNY
yea it is funny it’s also a good price and it’s a good song
Was your Moe’s advert from the tv made in Adelaide, and is part of it done on Rundle street, Adelaide?
Yes and yes!
This advertising campaign is another reason not to visit the store for any reason, let alone one of the fake what was Wendys Hot Dogs.
So many people I know love this ad and the jingle is so catchy.
Are the actors also the singers?
Who are the actors?
Finding out the actors names has proven to be far more difficult then one would think.
Have only managed to find out one so far;
Mitre Khammash
What is it about? This is wired and very bad.
Not as big as you see in the TV ad, just another plain old Hot Dog. $3 what do you expect ..just another ex Wendy’s Hot Dog.
I agree Disgusting
Who are the two guys in the ad?
I think it is hilarious. The two guys are fantastic. Thanks for a laugh.
Who are those two guys. They crack me up. Very funny.
So annoying! Not like the old amazing Mo and Jo ads
I love this advert! You’ve nailed having it stuck in my head 🙂
I love a Moe’s hotdog x
Congratulations Showpony! Brilliant ad, characters are awesome, ear worm is perfect executed. Would love to hear sales increase from this campaign, so we’ll done 👏👏
Who are the talent? They’re terrific. I disliked the advert first couple of times, but it’s really grown on me. The only thing that gets me – when they eat the dog, it’s looks like they’re eating the napkin as well. Untasty!
Are the two guys/singers from the male singing group, The Festival Statesmen? Looking familiar!
Quirky ad 🤪 my wife and I laugh our heads off when one of us sings it ..lol
Two blokes standing up spooning..keep your shirts on for Christ sakes and swallowing a big red sav….is that real meat or just processed offel….a bit like those Bunnings snags on bread the snags are just lard and flour cheap unhealthy crap. No wonder there’s so many FAT slobs bouncing around these days. No political correctness here…if you’re easily offended of my comment grow a spine and change the channel…
This is the best ad I’ve seen in a long time!! Hilariously fun, well done Showpony. Love it when the guy did the high notes🤣 I don’t like hot dogs but it made me seriously consider trying a Moe’s!
I agree. The ad is the best I have seen in a long time along with OTR carwash.
Everyday guys? Really. I got the gay vibe immediately from the commercial. Pandering to the gay minority, as they all seem to do with all the minorities today, doesn’t attact me to OTR for a hot dog or anything else. Try and keep it real.
Funny ad that sells the product so well. The girl who sings out 3 Bucks! is hilarious. The 3 actors are not mentioned but they are all so blood funny. Corny but great ad
Some people are gay and depicting them is actually very real. Also fuck you.
Miter kahmmash and Dylan I’m only commenting cause I thought it was Otis from Chicago fire, it was annoying me I couldn’t find who it was
The jingle is catchy & I tend to sing it just to annoy my Hubby .
Is the ad meant to have a gay undertone to it? I’m not the only one who’s thought it 🤔
You advertise that moe hot dogs are available 24/7
And anytime on television advertising.
Yet 3 weeks ago, I tried to buy a hotdog at one pf your stores at 12.30 am and was told making them was finished for the night.
You need to correct your advertising
I just think your staff cannot be bothered
Some of the staff. are not very friendly
Why do we have to have it sexualising? Guys grinding?
Can’t get the jingle out of my brain – hear it all day – well done !
The Ad is fine, but the local OTR stores in Adelaides Morphett Vale charge $5
The Ad is misleading as it shows the Moe’s with the wording of Moe’s and a shake……. $3
We’re back to poking fun at gays these days? Don’t get me wrong the ad makes me cackle, but I thought that in 2023 we weren’t allowed to camp it up for laughs. Insensitive?
Éxcessively gay but still funny
Love it love it love it
Yeah hi there is only 1 problem with your jingle for your Moe’s hot dogs.
And that is at the end of the jingle it say u can get Moe’s hotdogs at anytime WELL SORRY BUT THATS A LIE BECAUSE IVE TRIED TO GET THEM AT VARIOUS TIMES FROM 8PM UNTIL 6AM AND YOU CANT GET A MOES HOTDOG BETWEEN THOSE TIMES FROM THE 4 OTR’S AROUND MY AREA SO U MIGHT WANNA TAKE THAT PART OUT OF YOUR JINGLE BECAUSE ITS LYING TO THE PUBLIC
