The Betoota Advocate’s Errol Parker and Clancy Overell announced as hosts for AWARD Awards
AWARD has announced that Errol Parker and Clancy Overell, editors of The Betoota Advocate, will host this year’s 43rd AWARD Awards live from the French Quarter of Betoota. The online event will take place at 3:00pm AEST on Friday, 20 May 2022.
Grab your colleagues, drinks and snacks, and saddle up for the best in Aussie satire as Errol and Clancy announce the winners of Australasia’s most prestigious creative awards show. Who will win a Gold Pencil this year? Check out all the finalists here.
Write to The Betoota Advocate
All those who register to attend are being asked to submit a short letter to The Betoota editors in advance of the show. In your letter, feel free to voice your opinion on work, ask for their thoughts on a specific ad, challenge an opinion about a piece of work, or poke fun at them for doing an ad award show…. basically anything that you don’t mind having read in front of the whole industry with your name on it.
Be sure to send your letters in by May 19 via e-mail award@adcouncil.org.au and keep an ear out for yours to be read and responded to while we’re on air.
Tune in for all the usual fun and excitement – and some shiny Gold Pencils – on May 20.

Why is it still a virtual event? NSW has been open since before Christmas.
Yes, it’s odd that MADC could hold an in person event after the lockdowns they’ve had in Melbourne but we can’t here. It’s just not as good when it’s virtual.
