Rumbletown PR Agency Aruga announces new client wins and staff appointments

Trans-Tasman communications agency Aruga enters its fifth year with a sharp strategic focus, attention-grabbing creativity, an elevation of talent and slate of new and returning clients.

The independent disruptor, founded in Brisbane in 2017, has evolved from an attention-grabbing PR firm to an integrated communications agency that also delivers creative ideas, design and branding, copywriting, photography, videography, animation, social, influencer engagement, partnerships, events and stakeholder engagement and consultation for clients.

Aruga co-founders Donna Kramer and Adam Brunes said the agency’s strategic and creative evolution capitalised on its stellar reputation and the high-calibre of work delivered across its first five years of operation: “We started Aruga as a PR business but what our clients have come to value most is our strategic thinking, our creativity, our networks and our unswerving commitment to excellence.

“As we look towards the next five years, our mission is to create integrated campaigns that demand attention, are rooted in strategy and smart thinking and drive outcomes for clients that are deeply connected to their business objectives.

“We spent the first five years establishing our business and building a body of work we are immensely proud of – work that won multiple national awards – and now we have the clarity and drive to grow Aruga even further. The future feels exciting!”

The agency’s evolution has won immediate favour with Aruga welcoming a slate of big-name brands and returning clients to the fold.

Leisure retail supremos BCF and Supercheap Auto engaged Aruga to deliver campaigns across its Australian and New Zealand markets while both Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Sydney International Boat Show appointed Aruga for its 2022 events.

Aruga is thrilled to join the imitable Brisbane Broncos to “train” alongside its Broncos Community team and the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NVHR) to deliver its Don’t *uck with a Truck young driver education program.

Other new clients include South City Square, a brand-new neighbourhood precinct development by Pellicano, hotel management brand Alloggio, Australian-owned online sportsbook company TexBet, Australian cryptocurrency exchange Coinstash and industry-leading packaging company Signet.

Aruga is also thrilled to welcome back unique outdoor stay and camping experience platform Hipcamp, major arts and cultural event Brisbane Festival, the ground-breaking University of Queensland Institute for Molecular Bioscience (UQ IMB), Opera Queensland, EDQ Northshore, Brisbane Comedy Festival and Brisbane Writers Festival.

The creation of two new roles and the elevation of internal talent will help steer the agency into the future and deliver the creative ideas and strategic thinking for which Aruga is famous.

Publicity powerhouse Inga Tracey steps into the new role of public relations strategy director to drive big-picture thinking, steeped in real-time data and insights, with her results-focused approach across a range of sectors including major events, arts, culture and entertainment.

Marcomms maven Katie Moon is Aruga’s inaugural creative director, bringing her well-honed skills across social media, digital marketing, trends forecasting and creative ideation to elevate client campaigns and projects.

Newly minted university graduate Jasmine Halley has taken the first steps in her PR career as an account coordinator after joining Aruga in an administrative support role in 2021.

Says Kramer and Brunes: “We believe people are our greatest asset and strive to provide a progressive and inclusive culture that includes genuine career development for our superstar team of public relations and communications specialists.

“We’re proud to identify the nascent talent within our ranks and leverage this expertise to uncover new opportunities to enhance our award-winning work across social media, marketing, graphic design, content creation, copywriting and public relations.”
