HIREUP launches ‘Team Up on Your Terms’ campaign via M&C Saatchi, Melbourne

Hireup, Australia’s largest NDIS registered online platform for people with disability to find and hire their own support workers, has launched its first national integrated brand campaign, titled Team Up on Your Terms, via M&C Saatchi, Melbourne.

The upbeat campaign reveals how Hireup puts people with a disability in control, empowering them to build a qualified support squad they connect with. It also shines a light on how Hireup support workers, who are direct employees of Hireup, enjoy all the benefits of industry pay, superannuation, insurance and training while choosing their own working environment and schedule. This flexibility and security allows them to bring their best to a meaningful career.

Australia’s only blind voice-over artist and Hireup client, Alistair Lee has put his voice to the Team Up on Yours Terms campaign. The campaign will run across News Limited print and digital platforms, out-of-home retail screens, street furniture and in pharmacies, with TVC playing across TV, online, cinema and Spotify.

Says Hireup Co-CEO Jordan O’Reilly: “Our purpose at Hireup is to enable the pursuit of a good life for everyone. Finding the right support worker can have a big impact on our clients’ ability to live a full life. It isn’t just about finding someone with the right qualifications, it’s about finding people with common interests, who will go that extra mile to form a genuine connection.

“Our new campaign shows how easy it is to build a support team you click with, and how allowing support workers to create their ideal working environment while offering them job security creates positive outcomes for everyone. At Hireup, we know the right partnerships make all the difference.”

Established in 2015, Hireup now supports more than 10,000 people with disability and their families each year, creating more than 60,000 connections. These connections are truly life-changing, with 86 per cent of clients saying that Hireup has had a positive impact on their life.

The campaign brings these connections to life by sharing the stories of Mia,6, who has Down syndrome, and her support worker, Jorja, who is studying and appreciates the flexible hours Hireup offers; and Glenn, 49, who lives with cerebral palsy and is non-verbal with complex needs, and his support worker, Fadwa.

Glenn has about 10 Hireup support workers in his team as he needs a range of care, from manual handling, bowel care and medication to support for his favourite hobby, painting. Glenn’s sister, Hayley, books Glenn’s support workers and says Fadwa has developed a strong connection with Glenn through their mutual love of football.

“The beauty of Hireup is that Glenn has some autonomy over how he lives his life. He picks support workers that work for him. Specialised support – especially complex support – takes a team to adequately manage and effectively help along Glenn’s journey, and Hireup has made that possible,” says Hayley.

Says M&C Saatchi Melbourne Executive Creative Director, Emma Robbins: “Team Up on Your Terms is all about changing the narrative around disability support and empowering Hire Up clients to live the life they want, by using real stories from real clients, out there building their own team, their own way.”

“Team Up on Your Terms shows how Hireup is able to provide seamless support as our clients navigate their support journey and brings to life those moments of joy. From helping clients onboard to the platform to assisting them to build their teams according to their individual needs, Hireup is present every step of the way, helping our clients live the best life they can,” says Daphne Endress Mahfuz, Hireup Senior Marketing Manager.
