BWM Isobar managing director Brent Kerby joins Clemenger BBDO Sydney as chief executive officer
Clemenger Group has announced Brent Kerby as the new CEO of Clemenger BBDO Sydney.
Kerby joins the agency from BWM Isobar, where he held the position of managing director in Sydney and presided over a period of prolific business growth and enviable local and global creative recognition.
Throughout his career Kerby has helped transform brands and businesses in a range of industries including aviation and travel, finance, FMCG, retail and technology.
Says Les Timar, CEO, Clemenger Group: “Brent is a new age leader who brings a strong commitment to creativity, matched with deep experience in data-led and technology-enabled campaigns.
“He is highly respected and admired by both his colleagues and clients. His leadership and unique creative skills will drive new and innovative integrated solutions for our partners.
“His commitment to DE&I also stands out, having developed initiatives both internally and with client organisations, including driving Australia’s first Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan for a creative agency. I am confident he will foster a modern, agile and inclusive workplace.”
Says Kerby: “Clemenger BBDO had been at the pinnacle of commercial creativity for as long as I can remember, so it’s no exaggeration to say that joining the team is a dream come true. With the skills in the Sydney team and the capability in the Clemenger Group, I see opportunity everywhere; for clients, for talent, and to create iconic work that proves that creativity is always the answer, today and tomorrow.”
Kerby will join Clemenger BBDO Sydney’s strong leadership team, comprising Darren Wright, Brendan Willenberg, Lilian Sor, Jade Clark, Claire Bissett, Graham Sweet and Lewis Steele.
He will commence in his new role in February.

Brent is amazing and Clems have gained fantastic talent and a great leader. His whole team at dentsu will miss him
I’m sure the 11 people left working at Clems Sydney will be delighted.
An absolute legend who will be missed! Brent, you’ve been the ultimate work partner and friend since I joined the dentsu network. Best of luck in the new position. You’ll kill it buddy. You’ve been key in helping us build what is BWM Isobar and dentsu McgarryBowen, and have left the foundations of an amazing creative team and offering. You have inside knowledge that hottest rivals in Sydney are right across the road in Walsh Bay! See you for a beer at The Nelson soon, mate. 😉
Sad to see you go BK, you’ll kill it over at there.
What has happened to Clems. This is weird.
Don’t really know Brent Kirby well, but wish him the best for Clemenger. Wonder if Clemenger will ever look back to learn from losing an entire generation of people over the last two years.
Who didn’t do much of interest bar a few bits of scam. Clems Sydney has been the laughing stock for a long time, hopefully this is the man to lead a much needed change.
Sydney deserve a nice, smart and innovative leader after the last few.
