SouthSouthWest celebrates 14 years with expansion of its ‘Brand Voice’ focus

Melbourne-headquartered brand innovation agency SouthSouthWest is celebrating 14 years of partnership with global brands like Nike, Google, Tesla and KeepCup by announcing an expanded ‘Brand Voice Department’ headed up by newly promoted director of brand voice, Ben Birchall. Birchall also becomes a partner in SouthSouthWest.

The Brand Voice Department’s remit is to create, capture and execute the unique voice of progressive brands. They have already developed tone of voice guidelines for ahm health insurance, Intrepid Travel, KeepCup and MAAP cycling apparel, as well as developing publications for ahm, MAAP and Mambo and adapting Nike’s brand defining Play New platform. The remainder of 2021 will see them add the NBL and Melbourne Storm to their roster of partner brands.

Birchall has previously headed up CHE Proximity’s Newsroom, been social director of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, worked in partnership with publications like Crikey, Smith Journal and Smart Company and co-hosted 3RRR FM’s Breakfasters.
