Fanta brings the colour back with playful new campaign via SANTO Buenos Aires and Ogilvy
Coca-Cola Australia has today announced the local launch of a new advertising and digital campaign for Fanta created by SANTO Buenos Aires and adapted by Ogilvy for Australia.
The screens-led initiative encourages Australians to combat the ‘grey’ in every day by being playful and colourful, no matter your life stage.
The first global campaign for Fanta since 2017, ‘Colourful People’ celebrates the people who embody authenticity, are young at heart and don’t take themselves too seriously.
The TVC titled ‘Colourful’ spotlights playful people – such as street performers or karaoke singers – who work hard to make strangers smile. The TVC forms part of a wider multi-million-dollar media investment, including OLV, cinema and social.
Says Kate Miller, marketing director – South Pacific, Coca-Cola: “We know that Aussies have a playful spirit at heart, and we want to celebrate those who never let go of this trait.
“Fanta is a colourful delicious drink that people around the world have loved for over 80 years. This new campaign encourages people to fight the grey in their lives by being authentic and playful and ultimately, to enjoy Fanta however they like.”
Fanta’s ‘Colourful People’ is live across screens until mid-November 2021.

This should be great. Kind of like Sony Bravo Coloured Balls. But the v/o HAS TO GO! It turns a wonderful Stones soundtrack and set of images into a corporate video. Dump the v/o and I could watch it over and over.
Agree. When are brands going to learn that consumers don’t give a f about contrived manifestos.
Awful localised VO aside, would it have been possible to get someone without a fissured tongue to stick theirs out at the end? Looks drier than a Mildura mormon.

This diverse, inclusive, manifesto-driven drivel makes me want to punch a fucking poodle.

Just sets off the artificial colour siren for me.
And ignores the most important attribute: the intense orangy sweetness which has been missing for decades.
I like the strategy….the creative is a swing and a miss however.

The name of the song is “She’s a rainbow” by the Rolling Stones. This is not the Stones version though.
In NZ the ‘Colourful People’ campaign ad spells Colourful as Coloureful. Maybe the flash advertising agency need a spell checker?
