Nicolas Mendel joins Ogilvy Australia from Ogilvy Singapore as head of digital performance

Ogilvy Australia has today announced the appointment of Nicolas Mendel as head of digital performance.

Following the recent appointment of Mark Albert as chief data and analytics officer, Mendel’s appointment represents the next step in Ogilvy’s strategy to build a world class experience offering.

Mendel will be responsible for integrating performance media thinking alongside Ogilvy’s creative process, ensuring that the network’s creative campaigns are distributed with precision to the right audience, and are contextually relevant.

Since joining Ogilvy in 2014, Mendel has worked across the network globally. He started his career at Ogilvy’s Belgium office, before working in London and then Singapore.

He will leverage this extensive global experience in delivering search, social and programmatic media services to drive business results for clients across Australia.

Says Jason Davy, chief experience and innovation officer, Ogilvy: “Through this offering we will deliver impactful stories at the intersection of creativity and media. Being one step closer to the data feedback loop will fuel our strategies and improve the way we innovate across the entire customer experience spectrum. We’re really excited to now introduce this global offering to our local clients.”

Says Mendel: “Since embarking on a career at Ogilvy in 2014, I have witnessed first-hand the acceleration of digital transformation. I previously led the development of Social.Lab, Ogilvy’s paid social performance offering, across Asia, and saw how this opened a huge path for growth across the region. I’m so excited for this next chapter of my career at Ogilvy Australia, applying my global experience to enhance the creative services we bring to our clients.”
