In its first major communications since becoming Bupa’s creative services agency, Thinkerbell has extended the ‘Because Life Happens’ platform with a timely 6 weeks free retail offer for new customers.
The campaign urges young Aussies to join Bupa… right now…because life could happen…to anyone…seriously…annny second now…
Says Jim Ingram, national chief tinker at Thinkerbell: “We’ve been looking forward to extending the Because Life Happens platform for Bupa and this 6-weeks-free offer was the perfect opportunity to play with the idea that anything can go wrong, at any time. Each approach is simple, using a single shot to create building tension, whilst delivering a crystal clear retail message.”

Probably not since they were made at the same time. You haven’t been in this game for long have you. Stick to your eDM’s.
Reckon that was a cyclical comment mate
The only thing made at the same time was you and a bad life decision.
I like it.
Looking at them on CB: They aren’t bad ads.
The reality: I’ve had these ads come up about 20 times on YouTube, have skipped every time and had no idea what they were about other than being for Bupa. Oh the pre-roll…
…but these are actually pretty good. And nicely executed. Good one finch. Who directed?
These are great spots. Especially in the health category which is bloody hard. I hope you get the chance to tackle something a little more serious in tone to show the real legs of the idea.
I um, think that the Bear work kind of shits on the Bupa wall paper? Don’t you think?
What’s an EDM?
I like these. Simple strategy. Keep you watching.
From a competitive agency.
These make you feel something like them simple
Bupa’s marketing lead just disappeared. With work like this it won’t be long before Thinkerbell disappear too.
I doubt it.
These are… fine.
These are meh
These are good & simple.
The scripts could be peppered a bit more with personality, instead of just repeating the idea over and over – but I bet we can thank the client for that.
Bike was my favourite.
Is it just me or is it really hard to hear what they’re saying in these ads? I’ve seen them on TV and all I get out of them is the super.
‘I bet we can thank the client for that.’
We love blaming clients hey
Clear strategy and idea. Nice work. I like it.
well designed
Wtf is wrong with you people? This is good work. These are good ads. I wish I made them. Why the hate?
Isn’t repeating an idea over and over in different ways what we call a campaign?
I like these a lot I like the tension and they are funny
blows my mind that people can look at these spots – for a health insurance company – and negatively nitpick at it.
These are great. They’re solid. They’re funny. They make you ‘want’ to pay attention. And they’ll work.
Well done to all involved. You made boring fun & interesting.
Screw the haters.
They’re just ads.
These are awesome.
Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out!
These look cheap
I’m not in advertising. I’m a pensioner who watches a lot of TV. The ad with the girl shifting a full heavy cabinet backwards downstairs on her own implies that bupa insures stupid people likely to self harm.
I just want to know how they made the “Girl on the Stairs with Wardrobe” advert?….. was there someone in the wardrobe? was there a rope holding the Wardrobe from falling? I’m assuming the girl isn’t holding the wardrobe herself and acting at the same time!!! LOL…. Thanks 🙂
