Countdown to Free the Work Australia ‘CAN YOU SEE ME?’ workshop this Saturday, June 5 ~ Producers invited to participate
The countdown is on for the ‘Can You See Me?’ workshop, which takes place this Saturday, 5th June at Sun Studios and online though Zoom. Places are still available so book now.
This is a one-day workshop for female and non-binary TVC directors to build their brand and presence in the industry. The workshop is also available to agency, production and freelance producers as Ogilvy group creative head Jenny Mak will join the line up to give a much needed session on how to be seen from the inside looking out.
For the last 20 years Mak has been building brands and solving big business problems with creativity. During this time, Mak has seen the landscape of advertising shift immensely and have honed my skills accordingly. From developing and crafting traditional through-the-line advertising campaigns to executing highly targeted social media and digital campaigns, Mak creates work that matters, work that changes behaviour, affects culture and transforms the fortunes of businesses.

There will also be a directors showcase as part of the day and agency and production company producers and creatives are invited to attend in person or online.
Says Tarasin: “You will enjoy the work of 25 directors in one sitting. The gap in our industry is still huge only 15% of TVCs are directed by women in Australia. Let’s do this!
“All 25 directors have been working really hard to prepare a showcase of their work and introduce themselves. It will be great to have you there.
“If you can make it in person that would be great as it makes it way more organic and friendly for everyone but if you can’t we can organise your attendance via Zoom.”
