Zespri Kiwifruit goes crazy tasty in campaign via BWM dentsu Sydney and Dentsu Tokyo
Zespri Kiwifruit has unveiled its latest advertising campaign, highlighting the crazy tasty sweetness and health benefits of Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit. The campaign features two Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit characters, The Zespri Bros, on various adventures in the fruit section and beyond – including a trip through the Trans-Tasman Bubble.
Originally created by Dentsu Tokyo, the quirky adorable characters have been reimagined to appeal to Australian audiences by BWM dentsu Sydney.
Says Marcus Tesoriero, executive creative director at BWM dentsu Sydney: “Aussies and Kiwis share a unique, comedic banter, so going beyond just adapting global assets, we worked in partnership with Zespri to convert these cute Japanese speaking characters into crazy tasty Zespri Bros, totally reimagined with Kiwi accents. This is just the beginning of the Zespri Bros’ crazy tasty adventures and we look forward to showing everyone what they get up to over the coming year.”
Says Janice Byrnes, Marketing Manager APAC South, Zespri: “Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit is a naturally sweet and delicious snack that’s fun to eat and great for your health, with just one providing 100% of your daily Vitamin C needs. We want to excite and encourage Aussies to add these sweet, golden goodies to their fruit bowls.
“This campaign is a fantastic evolution of an award-winning concept that was originally created for Zespri Kiwifruit by Dentsu Tokyo, and we are thrilled to continue the Zespri Bros’ journey together with BWM dentsu here in Australia.”
The advertising campaign will be rolled out across TV, digital, social and retail, amplified across Channel 7, Channel 9, Prime7 and Southern Cross Austereo from 16 May 2021.

Not funny cuzzy – should have got a real bro to write them.
Actually not a bad translation of Japanese ad… mad but kinda funny.
A sad indictment of where the industry is, if this makes it through.
Maybe this is funny in Tokyo?
