The Communications Council extends Effie Awards 2020 campaign eligibility dates

The Communications Council has today announced that eligibility dates for campaigns submitted for the Effie Awards 2020 have been extended.
Campaigns that have run in Australia between 1 April 2018 and 31 May 2020 are now eligible for entry, an extension of two months from the original 31 March cut-off.
The longer eligibility period for the Effies 2020 has been introduced as a result of the rescheduling of the awards this year due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The extension will not impact the eligibility period for next year’s Effies, with campaigns running between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2021 permitted to enter.
As previously announced, the Call For Entries deadline has been extended by several weeks, with on-time entries now closing on Thursday 11 June and the final deadline (incurring an additional entry fee) moved to Thursday 25 June.
The Effie Awards Dinner and Presentation will now take place on Friday 30 October, dependent on the current restrictions on public gatherings being rolled back by that time.
Finalists will be announced on Wednesday 12 August.

Still going to charge agencies $1,000/entry at a time when most agencies are on vastly reduced staffing hours and making redundancies and a lot of independent agencies are struggling to survive.
Be better.
