Byron Bay Brewery inspires Aussies to keep creating in new campaign via 72andSunny, Sydney
With the creative community in isolation at home, Byron Bay Brewery and 72andSunny Sydney has launched a series of original, inspirational online classes from well known Byron Bay creators to keep Australians creating during isolation.
Offering an insight into the minds of the creators, the ‘Made in Byron’ classes teach a variety of creative skills, each taught in their own unique way – as creative as the creators themselves.
Directed by Stefan Hunt, the classes feature Eden Saul of Dead Kooks fixing a ding on a surfboard; Kai Neville teaching film-making; Mia Taninaka teaching painting; Ming Nomchong on photography; Ozzie Wright and his partner, Mylee Grace Fitzgerald, on writing a love song; and Stefan Hunt himself running a class on designing a tattoo.
See the classes now on Instagram and YouTube.
Says Hunt: “This project has been so fun and refreshing to work on. From the lesson topics to the low-fi approach, this series feels so original and so perfectly timed for creatives during Covid-19 times. I apologise to all the parents out there whose kids come home with bad tattoos!”
Says Luke Martin, head of product, 72andSunny Sydney: “It’s been a pleasure to work with such an awesome group of people to get this made. Everyone’s brought a different flavour to the process and hopefully we’ll all be inspired to learn new creative skills off the back of it.”

On doing what every other brand has done during coronavirus lockdown.
At least it’s optimistic and hopeful. Good one
At least it didn’t start with ‘In these unexpected times’. Thanks for brightening my day a bit Byron, and don’t listen to the trigger happy haters, the virus might get them one day.
These are great – bit of positivity and happiness shouldn’t be dissed. How cool is Mia!
This is fun and refreshing. Nice work Stefan + co.
Here’s how to make a painting.
Get some paper. Get some paint.
Do whatever comes into your head.
Put it up on the wall.
That’s how we come up with ideas at 72.
Did you just describe the creative process, isn’t that how we all come up with ideas.
