Brisbane ECDs Brendan Greaney and Jono Drapes launch creative consultancy Chimera Project

Former Junior/Ogilvy Brisbane Executive Creative Director Jonathan Drapes and ex-Y&R Brisbane ECD Brendan Greaney, who departed the agency in March last year, have combined to form specialist ‘inside-out’ creative consultancy, Chimera Project, with founding clients Griffith University, Health & Wellbeing Queensland and Travel Associates

“Marketers are facing a number of increasingly complex challenges that traditional advertising agencies aren’t set up to solve,” says Drapes (above right) and Greaney (about left). “We work behind the scenes with a select number of clients to produce work and tackle brand problems from the inside-out.”

Following a competitive tender process at the end of last year, Queensland’s Griffith University appointed Chimera Project as its creative consultancy, undertaking high-level strategic and creative services for the brand. Says Phillip Stork, Chief Marketing Officer, Griffith University: “We were impressed with Chimera’s depth of experience and understanding of our brand. Having Brendan and Jono in the building helps us get to the right creative solution much faster.”

Chimera Project has also commenced work on major brand projects for Health & Wellbeing Queensland, the Queensland Government’s new independent health promotion agency, as well as Flight Centre’s premium travel brand, Travel Associates.

“We’re excited to be partnering with such incredible brands, helping them unlock and apply the creativity within their organisations,” says Drapes and Greaney. “It’s amazing how quickly you can get under-the-hood of clients’ challenges when you’re sitting in the office next to them.”
