Town Square appoints former Brand Agency head Alison Ray to the role of general manager
Full service creative agency Town Square has further bolstered its leadership team appointing former The Brand Agency Melbourne director Alison Ray as general manager.
A strategic communications professional with more than 16 years’ experience, Ray will be responsible for driving business development at the Melbourne independent agency, in addition to overseeing digital strategy and digital and social campaign activity of its clients.
She joins Town Square after nine years with WPP-owned The Brand Agency where she had a broad range of responsibilities, including head of strategy and planning in Perth and client services director in the Melbourne office. She also worked as head of digital and direct at Draftfcb for more than four years and has held roles at CHE Proximity and George Patterson Y&R.
Says Harry Corsham, partner at Town Square: “Alison brings a wealth of experience to Town Square at an important time in our growth. Not only has she considerable digital and data strategy capabilities, she is also adept at managing agency operations and developing new business opportunities. She is something of an allrounder and we’re delighted to welcome her to the Town Square team as we look ahead to a number of new opportunities in 2020.”
Ray also has extensive experience teaching digital and social media courses for industry bodies such as Association for Data-driven Marketing & Advertising (ADMA) and The Communications Council.
Says Ray: “I’m delighted to be joining Town Square and be part of the next phase for the business. I’ve watched them attract some great talent and create some really effective campaigns and I look forward to playing my part in that as well as driving new business.”
