NAB launches 2019 line-up of AFL Mini Legends in latest campaign via Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne
Back by popular demand for the fourth year, NAB has today unveiled the newest lineup of Mini Legends. Developed via Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, the campaign continues to highlight NAB’s commitment to football, supporting the next generation of stars to the legends of the game.
The first phase of the campaign launched earlier this year with a call-out to the public to vote for who this year’s mini-legends should be. That phase of the program resulted in this year’s campaign featuring pint-sized versions of FLW stars Tayla Harris (Carlton) and Richelle Cranston (Geelong), and AFL stars Bachar Houli (Richmond), Justin Westhoff (Port Adelaide) and Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (Essendon).
NAB executive general manager, marketing and customer experience, Suzana Ristevski said the campaign is a wonderful show of support for one of the nation’s most galvanising pastimes: “At NAB, supporting the community is an incredibly important part of what we do, and there’s nothing that brings the community together quite like football. We’re incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership and support of the AFL and AFLW and can’t wait to see this year’s group of Mini Legends kicking goals on the big stage.”
Says Rich Williams, executive creative director, Clemenger BBDO: “This year we have gone back to basics for our Mini Legends campaign and have tried to replicate the magical feeling kids around Australia experience waking up before Auskick on a Saturday morning. The Mini Legends continue to remind us of the role NAB plays in supporting footballers and the joy this great game gives us all.”
The campaign is rolling out nationally across TV, radio, digital, social and PR. You can see NAB’s Mini Legends in action in the launch film at www.nab.com.au/minilegends.

The public loves this campaign, and so do I.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Just keep it fresh.
Whenever a PR release starts ‘back by popular demand’ you know it really means ‘we had a great idea a number of years ago and now the client will not let us try anything new’.
Love this.
Tayla Harris shot at the end is gold.
Brilliant
