Cancer Council NSW appoints Spark Foundry as new media agency following a three-way pitch

Spark Foundry has been awarded the media account for Cancer Council NSW (CCNSW) following a three-way pitch against Kaimera and the incumbent, Initiative.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 48,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed, and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.

CCNSW is Australia’s leading cancer charity and is the only organisation that works across every area, of every cancer. The charity conducts and funds world-class research that underpins its work across the cancer journey, supporting people as they navigate their journey with cancer, and advocating to ensure that governments take action on cancer.

The organisation’s number one vision is for a cancer-free future.

Spark Foundry will be responsible for CCNSW’s full media strategy, planning and buying, as well as leading and supporting the charity’s digital transformation.

Says Lyndsey Rice, director of marketing and fundraising, CCNSW: “We’re excited to be working with Spark Foundry. During the pitch process it was clear that Spark Foundry had the vision, experience, and deep understanding of our business to help support our digital transformation journey.

“Our partnership will help us improve the way we engage with our communities and ensure we are raising funds as efficiently as possible, and ultimately making a huge difference to those impacted by cancer.”

Says Matthew Turl, general manager, Spark Foundry: “We are thrilled to welcome Cancer Council NSW back into our portfolio of clients. The work that they undertake is crucial in the fight against cancer and it is an honour to be entrusted to support their fundraising marketing program and their digital transformation journey.”
