Jenna Morrissey + Rachel Harley’s Diary #2

Image-7.jpgJenna Morrissey (right) and Rachel Harley (left), a young creative team from Grey Sydney, have competed in the Print category of the Cannes Young Lions competition. The pair write exclusively for CB.

So after a solid night to think about it, we’ve completely changed our tune vis a vis the sunglasses that record your point of view. I’ve now come to the conclusion they’re entirely useful and only look mildly ridiculous. Getting a pair is now priority number one for the rest of the week.

Image-5.jpgPriority number two for the day was seeing Mario Testino, who was every bit as amazing as you’d expect. He mentioned that now, at the ripe age of 62, he’s discovered that partying and drinking are not great for productivity, and doesn’t participate in either anymore. He may have picked the wrong audience for that sage advice.Image-6.jpg

He did get a photo on stage with us in the background and posted it on Instagram, which I believe legally now makes us Instafamous by association. It requires some zoom, but that still counts.

Prior to that, we caught a chat on new technology to combat cyber bullying. They’reImage.jpg testing this thing that scans what you’ve written and rates how ‘toxic’ it is – which just seems like a fun challenge, but maybe that’s just me.

Now we’re just staring at the beach, having spent eighteen euro on one gin and tonic, and judging people’s footwear. Stock standard Tuesday.
