Netball Australia launches its first campaign for the new Super Netball League via Blood UTD
Blood UTD, the new bespoke sport agency founded by David Smith (ex-creative director on Nike and EA Sports at W+K Amsterdam) has just launched its first major campaign for Netball Australia’s new Suncorp Super Netball league.
This season, the stakes have been raised in netball. The game is going big. With new teams, the best global talent, and bigger and better broadcast deals, netball is getting ready for a major battle. Come February 18th, Australia will bear witness to a clash of the greatest athletes in modern netball, fighting for city, state and ultimately the right to call themselves the best of the best.
The launch film, Face-off showcases the high speed skills and up-in-your-grill fierceness of the modern game. All set to a raw new track from Tkay Maidza – Australia’s hottest prospect in the global hip-hop scene.
Says Smith:”From the beginning of the project, we wanted to capture a hyper modern picture of netball. Highlight the drama, the emotion, the tension, the skills, the speed of the modern game. And with the help of an awesome client, a great production team, and some banging beats from TKAY Maizda, we think we have achieved this.”
The campaign also features large scale outdoor and social posters shot by leading Sydney photographer, Toby Dixon; plus a series of short ‘Throw Down’ films where the league’s best players lay it on the line for their opponents, telling them exactly what they can expect on the court this season.
The Suncorp Super Netball season starts 18.02.2017 on 9GEM and Telstra TV.
