At IPG Mediabrands Australia Raeburn will work across all aspects of the business and its many major clients. His main remit will be to further evolve and apply the group’s capabilities to deliver more refined and effective business communications solutions.
Says Henry Tajer, global CEO and chairman of Australia, IPG Mediabrands: “Ross has been on our most-wanted-list for a senior role here for many years. I have worked in parallel with him on client assignments at our respective agencies and I admire his professional skills, vision for his clients and his approach to talent development.”
Says Raeburn: “Mediabrands is a very interesting and impressive group of businesses that have rapidly embraced ownership and leadership in digital communications for their clients. I’m looking forward to joining the impressive team, adding my own professional experience to their existing momentum.”
Raeburn joined Soap Creative in 2006, heading up the strategy team and working on award-winning campaigns for brands such as Lynx, Magnum, ING Direct and the Cancer Council NSW. He took on the managing director’s role in 2010.

From all of Soap, Congrats mate, you’re a legend and you and your Scottish eccentricities will be missed. You’ve taken Soap, with Brad & Ash to amazing heights and should be proud. Wish you nothing but the best of success in the next chapter.
That’s a big loss for them.
Big congrats ya we scottish git. As sad-soaper said. nothin’ but success for the next chapter.
Ash here, founder of Soap.
It’s been an awesome experience working with Ross. After 9 years you come to consider him like a brother. Or like I told Ross like a girlfriend because now he’s sleeping with someone else.
I’m both happy for him as this is a power move and sad to see him go.
Brad and I will continue doing the joint MD role and we’re looking at the structure now for how we’ll organise the team.
Killer. Congrats mate.
