Director Simon Robson joins OTTO
Visual, live action, animation, mixed media, and CG director Simon Robson (pictured left with EP Cathy Rechichi) has joined The OTTO Empire for exclusive representation.
Since landing in Sydney in 2010, Robson has created TVCs for clients including Specsavers, Telstra, Taubmans, The Iconic, Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Kmart, Mount Franklin and Kia Motors.
A multi award winning, BAFTA nominated director, Robson spent the first part of his career carving a name for himself in London, working on global campaigns for Mars, Nike, Save the Children and Adidas. During his time in London, Robson was invited to direct the animation for British documentary maker Chris Atkins’ explosive polemic Talking Liberties (2006), which was nominated for a BAFTA in 2007.
Since then, Robson has been working commercially, and is now permanently based in Sydney where he has been working on projects for agencies and brands both nationally and internationally.
His broad experience in filmmaking has seen Robson invited as a guest speaker at renowned design and animation events around the world, including F5, OFFF and SPAA conferences and Robson’s work has been recognized globally, including two Promax World Golds and D&AD Pencils.
Robson is available for commercial work immediately and is comfortably settled into OTTO’s Sydney HQ in Darlinghurst.
