NAB pledges to lend $1bn a month to Aussie business in new campaign via Clems Melbourne
NAB has launched an aggressive new marketing campaign via Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne, committing to lend 1 billion dollars a month to Australian business.
NAB general manager for small business David Bannatyne said the pledge was a powerful commitment to Australian business by Australia’s biggest business bank.
Says Bannatyne: “At NAB, we back businesses that back themselves. That’s why we’re committed to lending 1 billion dollars a month to Australian businesses. NAB is the biggest backer of Aussie small business and our message is there are great opportunities out there for businesses to grow right now.”
As Australia’s largest business bank, and largest lender to micro, small and medium businesses, NAB wants the Australian business community to know that we are behind them and believe in them.
Says Bannatyne: “We’re putting more business bankers in more places to help businesses that want to expand. Business people want specialist bankers who understand their needs, and that’s the real advantage of banking with NAB.”
This campaign follows last week’s announcement by NAB CEO Andrew Thorburn that the bank was prepared to ‘fight’ to protect its status as Australia’s biggest business bank and the bank is in the process of recruiting one hundred more business bankers.
NAB has 228 Business Banking Centres and more than 4000 business bankers and specialists right across the country.

Yawn
This is not a new spot. It was on air so often many months ago it quickly became an irritant sufficient to actually hit the remote. It’s pretentious, meaningless twaddle. I hope Clems appreciate my constructive comments.
So NAB have turned their sales targets into an advertising campaign? ANZ have done this too with their $2 billion small business pledge.
Scrape the bottom of that barrel harder guys.
