The South Australian National Football League launches campaign via Showpony Advertising
Showpony Advertising has launched a new campaign for the South Australian National Football League.
Showpony undertook extensive research and a comprehensive brand review.
Says Parris Mesidis, Showpony’s creative director: “The SANFL is on the cusp of a new era and our research revealed that people believe the SANFL is footy as it’s meant to be – a professional and tough competition that is completely accessible and affordable for friends and families.
“The campaign tagline, ‘This Is Football’ is a celebration of everything that makes the SANFL unique and entertaining.”
Says Leigh Whicker AM, SANFL executive commissioner: “We are very excited about the launch of the new ‘This is Football’ campaign. We believe season 2014 is an appropriate occasion to celebrate and promote the elements that makes our competition truly unique.”
The 2014 SANFL season brings with it a number of changes, including:
• SANFL broadcast on commercial television via the Seven network, supported by new and current sponsors
• IGA becoming naming rights partner of the SANFL IGA League competition
• The SANFL moving back to Adelaide Oval, highlighted by the Anzac Day match being played between Norwood and North Adelaide, and;
• Adelaide Football Club entering a State League team into the competition.
The campaign will appear in TV, radio, outdoor, magazine and newspaper in the lead up to the season launch on March 31st.
Showpony Advertising’s client roster also includes Port Adelaide Football Club, Bridgestone, Coopers, Yalumba, SA Health, HomeStart Finance, Sapporo and Flinders University.
