Managing director of Digital Pulse Brett Heil said the creative collaboration with VJs was a first for the Mardi Gras Party.

Digital Pulse_Mardi Gras (2) (Custom).jpgSays Heil: “The challenge Mardi Gras presented us was that they wanted to create an amazing experience on a large projection and LED surface in the Hordern and it had to be full-on for the duration of the party. Traditional content creation requires significant rendering and playback capabilities. Our solution was to produce a live VJ show in collaboration with leading local artists VJs David Hoare, Sugarbank and Boris Bagettini. Using a combination of custom and off the shelf software each VJ brought his own distinct style of content to match the mood of Mardi Gras revellers. The audience was warmed up with subtle combinations of film with graphic overlays before moving to high-impact graphics for the pulsating 2am – 5am sets and finished with sexy imagery to match the mood of party-goers in the early hours of the morning.”

Fourth Wall executive producer Crispen Wilkins, who managed the content creation across the Mardi Gras Party says Digital Pulse always thrills and entertains the audience.

Says Wilkins: “The content that was developed for Mardi Gras this year was just gorgeous, not only for the shows in the Royal Hall of Industries but also for the unbelievable VJ content in the Hordern – which surpassed all expectations.”
