Hackett revives Lucy in The Australian National Maritime Museum’s new campaign via Bloke
Lucy is back with more action and drama as a super-soaker toting Viking for The Australian National Maritime Museum’s ‘Beyond The Legend’ exhibition.
Together with Bloke, Hackett Films recreated the magic of last year’s successful summer campaign, including two TVC’s and two illustrations.
When Lucy puts on a magic helmet she transforms into a Viking and battles an unseen army of water warriors. The TVC closely referenced the exhibition, taking inspiration from the great exhibition design and the many artefacts the museum has on display. The ‘Wetworld’ playground is brought to life with dramatic slow-motion battle sequences and more water effects than ever.
Bloke creative director, Mike O’Rourke, said that it was great to bring Lucy back as a part of this campaign.
Says O’Rourke: “She is a very accessible character for kids of all ages. t’s always great to revisit a character that has proven popular with the client, the public and us.”
You can find Lucy all over Sydney – on public transport, posters at Darling Harbour, brochures and she even has an app. See her in action at the cinema, on Channel 9, GO! and Gem.

What a wasted opportunity. When you think of all the eye catching, award winning work done in this category, this is way below par. Odin will be turning in his grave.
Beautiful work guys…… Absolutely love it!
