Droga5’s David Nobay leads 130 staff members in Shark Island invasion to celebrate Christmas
Droga5, led by its cigar chomping, shotgun-toting creative chairman David Nobay, has capped of an intense year with an island invasion to celebrate Christmas.
More than 130 Drogans staged a landing on Shark Island last week to eat, drink and fire weapons randomly off into the harbour.
Led by Nobay, staff competed in a (thankfully, laser) skeet shooting competition, jet boating, paddle boarding and the highly competitive pursuit of lazing about peeling fresh prawns.
In between puffs on a Cuban, Nobay pointed out: “It’s been a tough year for the whole industry, with clients challenging us all to do more with less. I think for one day at least, a bit of unadulterated excess is good for the soul. If not my waistline!”

Cigars, shotguns, liquor… he’s stealing my schtick!
Now that’s how an agency celebrates.
Ok, how many Roo heads in the agency reception?
Looks like he’s worked hard on this image.
They love it.
Woolworths would love this.
And Qantas.
Nearly as much.
Know what I think.
Extra-ordinary day.
Really top work.
So love you all.
