303Lowe’s Simon Langley departs as Sydney based CD/partner as Lindsay Medalia steps in
Simon Langley has resigned as 303Lowe’s Sydney-based national creative director, after a little less than three years in the role.
Langley’srole will be temporarily handled by Perth-baed national creative director Lindsay Medalia, the founding creative partner of the agency, who will be based in Sydney while a replacement for Langley is found.
The agency has enjoyed a number of outstanding creative successes in the time Langley has overseen the creative output of the agency including this year winning a D&AD yellow pencil for the IKEA ‘Rent’ campaign, Grand Prix at Spikes Asia and numerous Effie awards.
Says Langley: “I have had a successful couple of years at 303Lowe helping achieve growth for the business and attracting fantastic talent. I’m proud of the work we have done at the agency and believe we have built a strong creative reputation based upon work that not only wins awards, but delivers results. I am particularly proud of our Effie success this year where we picked up six awards for three clients.”
The highly respected Langley joined the agency in 2010 from the CD role at BMF, where he’d been for over 6 years.
Says Nick Cleaver, CEO: “We are sad to see Simon depart 303Lowe and really appreciate the great contribution he has made to the agency. He has built a strong creative department and got some great campaigns out in his time with us.”
Says Langley: “I’m looking forward to taking some time off over Xmas with the family before moving on to a new challenge.”
Adds Cleaver: “Lindsay is a brilliant creative leader and is the heart and soul of our brand, we are delighted to have him lead the Sydney creative team.”

yeah i wondered how long the best bloke in the business could work with the worst
Hasn’t anyone noticed the growing trend of ad agencies thinking creative people aren’t needed in the business? The work is becoming more and more reflective of this.
Loved working with you Langers albeit all too brief. You’re a true craftsman go well wherever you end up.
