303 MullenLowe and D.A.M to present ‘How to Predict the Future’ at Sydney Design Festival
303 MullenLowe and D.A.M have joined the line-up for the 20th Sydney Design Festival, which runs from 2nd to 11th March.
On 8th March, 303 MullenLowe’s Brad Morris and D.A.M’s Mick Boston are presenting a session called ‘How to Predict the Future’, in which they’ll explain how they take inspiration from popular culture to design brands and campaigns that are of the moment.
‘How to predict the future’ takes place on Thursday 8th March, 6:15pm to 7:30pm, at 303 MullenLowe: Level 2, 33 Playfair Street, The Rocks.
Tickets are free and can be booked here.
As managing partner, digital and innovation at 303 MullenLowe, Morris (left) has honed and developed innovation tools and workshop techniques to help the agency’s clients tap into social conversations and predict trends as they’re emerging.
Says Morris: “Creatives have the power to drive people to action and influence behaviour, but only if our ideas are relevant and take inspiration from culture. We wanted to share some of our secrets as to how we identify the trends and technologies that are having a huge impact on the future of design.”
As co-founder of design studio D.A.M, Boston (above, right) has worked with some of the world’s biggest – and smallest – brands. He uses design and brand thinking to develop new products and brands, or revitalise existing ones.
Says Boston: “As someone who’s passionate about design and creative culture, I’m looking forward to sharing a few things I’ve learned about tapping into culture to push the boundaries of what’s possible in beautiful ways.”
Sydney Design Festival is an annual contemporary design festival that tackles design challenges and the future of design across creative industry sectors.
