Youngbloods Victoria appoints The Monkeys’ Jessie Roper and Noisy Beast’s Shaun McFarlane as co-chairs

Jessie Roper and Shaun McFarlane have been announced as the new co-chairs of Youngbloods Victoria.

Since joining Youngbloods in early 2019, both Roper and McFarlane have worked closely with the current committee and previous chairs to bring a string of successful events and projects to life.

Most notably ‘Asking For A Friend’, a monthly webinar series in partnership with Never Not Creative and Mentally-Healthy that allows people in the creative industry to get answers to their usually un-askable questions.

Says Matt Bladin, past Youngbloods VIC co-chair and now national chairman of Youngbloods Australia: “I couldn’t be happier to see Shaun and Jessie step-up to lead the Victorian committee into its next chapter. Their talents have been an integral part of growing the Youngbloods offering and they’ve already got some awesome new initiatives in the works – it’s an exciting time for Youngbloods in Victoria.”

Says Olivia Gatt, past Youngbloods VIC co-chair: “The future of Youngbloods VIC is a bright one. I’m so extremely proud of the committee and how far we have come. Jessie and Shaun are brilliant leaders and big thinkers, Matt and I have left the committee in good hands.”

Says Roper and McFarlane: “Matt and Olivia have left some extremely large shoes to fill both being such great leaders. We are confident that with the momentum they’ve built, and the talent of the new and existing committee members, we’ll be able to continue the success of Youngbloods VIC.”

Youngbloods VIC is now on the hunt to fill a number of new roles, asking those interested to apply here.

Applications close 5pm Monday, 10th of August.
