As a part of the campaign, Republic of Everyone teamed up with Google Creative Labs, Grumpy Sailor, Underwater Earth and Storyspheres to deliver an immersive virtual reality experience of the reef using Google cardboard goggles and a beta technology developed by Google Creative Labs and Grumpy Sailor.

People simply visit the reef.wwf.org.au/seeit on their smart phone, select the section of the reef they want to expereince, place their phone into the virtual reality reef goggles and take a virtual dive on the reef.

Once they have experienced the wonder of the reef they are then given the option to claim a piece of the reef to protect and become its ambassador.

For the first time ever people get to experience the reef from the comfort of their own home.
