Velvet’s campaign for Map of the Heart’s unisex fragrance White Heart v.7, directed by Jeffrey Darling, makes shortlist at 2019 Fragrance Foundation UK awards
Map of the Heart’s unisex fragrance White Heart v.7 is a finalist for MEDIA CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR – WOMEN, and MEDIA CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR – MEN, in the prestigious 2019 Fragrance Foundation UK awards
Chosen by industry professionals from over 600 entrants in each category, the finalists are the full spectrum of industry heavyweights such as Chanel, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, and Hugo Boss. Map of the Heart’s inclusion in these categories is testament to the campaign creative and direction by Darling.
Co-Founders of Map of the Heart, Sarah Blair and Jeffrey Darling believe that the experience of having a brand with all its challenges and successes greatly informs how they now approach commercial filmmaking. “Having a brand has given me a much greater understanding of the variety of needs tearing at the brand’s success,” says Darling.
It is the first time Map of the Heart has entered these awards which are the fragrance world’s equivalent to the UK’s BAFTAS. The brand has also been shortlisted for NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR. Whilst Map of the Heart was launched in 2014 and sells in over 80 stores worldwide, it has only been available in the UK for the past year, exclusively to Harrods’ Salon de Parfums.
The winners will be announced at the award night in London on Thursday May 16.
