VANDAL creative director Emile Rademeyer to present Digital Placemaking at Spikes Asia

VANDAL creative director, Emile Rademeyer, is presenting Digital Placemaking at the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, held from 25-27 September at Suntec Singapore.

Building upon the popularity of last year’s session, Rademeyer will this year present under the theme “Digital Placemaking: Your future in Augmented Reality.”

To be showcased is how creatives of the future won’t be restricted to deploy art, advertising and commerce to a specific medium eg. television screen, smartphone, billboard or magazine, but be able to use any physical space as a platform for digital overlay.

Rademeyer will showcase how VANDAL has made use of Digital Placemaking and allow brands to connect with consumers, increase engagement and enhance human emotion; including how creatives, brands and advertisers can use Digital Placemaking to activate physical spaces and communicate more creatively.

Says Rademeyer: “Digital Placemaking is the creative use of digital technology to transform and redefine our physical environment. It’s this transformation that will alter human reality at an unprecedented pace. This is what is known as Digital Placemaking and it will change your future into an Augmented Reality.”

Rademeyer is representing Australia amongst other international speakers including Levi Slavin, chief creative officer Colenso BBDO; David Guerrero, creative chairman BBDO Guerrero; Bill Yom, global creative director, Cheil Worldwide; Youngmin Pipha Cho, executive creative director Cheil Worldwide and Spikes Asia Innovation Jury president, Tara McKenty, creative director Google Brand Studio APAC.

“Digital Placemaking: Your future in Augmented Reality” will commence at 11am on Friday 27 September, the Future’s Hub stage, Suntec Singapore.
