Claire Monteilh (1).jpgUM Australia welcomes experienced change management and people development executive Claire Monteilh as director of people and wellbeing. She will join UM’s national senior leadership team and report to CEO Fiona Johnston.

Says Johnston: “As business evolves at speed, a key focus for us is supporting, developing and protecting our people along the way. There is much conversation around how we do this sufficiently in our industry – quite rightly – and whilst I am proud of where we are on this, it is a constant practice to be better at looking after our people.

“Claire’s calibre will be of immeasurable value to our national business in ensuring this and of course always having the best people for our clients, who are humans too!

“I believe it is critical for UM’s people representative to sit on the exec or in the core leadership team, thereby effecting real change, not tokenism around the edges.”

Monteilh is formerly a senior executive with highly respected organisational change management consultants Change 2020 in Sydney. Previously she held a national people and performance manager role for Deloitte Australia and before that she worked in HR business partner roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland as well as Bloomberg, based in London.

Her career has focused on creating, coaching and leading teams within EMEA and APAC to support business growth and transformation. She has played a key role in global programs, acting as an advisor to C-Suite stakeholders and global committees. She has also designed industry-leading, people-focused programs within the media, financial services, government and professional services sectors.

Says Monteilh: “UM has achieved tremendous momentum in the past 18 months and with that there are many organisational and people development opportunities. Within the UM style of clarity and simplicity for clients, I will be focused on initiatives that help elevate people and program performance that directly address our clients’ challenges, decision-making and opportunities in this speedy business environment.”
